The Bio-Formats open dialog is too large for the screen of many netbooks, e.g.

(It also has the peculiarity that you don't seem to be able move the hidden parts of the dialog onto the screen with alt-click-drag, as with most windows.)

Should be fixed in latest trunk (see https://skyking.microscopy.wisc.edu/trac/java/changeset/6039 for details), through the addition of scroll bars that appear as needed. Please reopen if you continue to have trouble!
