Description Mark Longair 2010-08-18 12:04:08 CDT
Yihwa Kim discovered this problem, described in this comment:

   http://pacific.mpi-cbg.de/cgi-bin/bugzilla/﷒0﷓

I'm working on discovering how this could happen...

One way of reproducing this is to take the following steps:

 - Create a completed path ("Path (0)")

 - Select "Path (0)"

 - Start a path at another point in the stack and click (with the join modifier key) on "Path (0)".

 - Click "No" to cancel this temporary path

 - Click "Cancel" to cancel the second path entirely

 - Click on "Export to SWC", and the error is produced.

This bug is fixed in the most recent version of Simple Neurite Tracer. You can get the new version via Help > Update Fiji.

Thank you for reporting this bug and helping to improve the software.

You're welcome
Thanks a lot for fixing this problem very quickly!!

Now it exports fine.
However I have another question.
In the current reconstruction, the reconstructed point don't seem to pass through the center of the actual neurites or the end point that I gave was a bit off from the actual neurite location.
How could this problem be saved?
Could this be solved via FitVolume or Hessian-based analysis?

Thank you in advance!

Could I ask that you send this question to the fiji-users mailing list ( http://groups.google.com/group/fiji-users ) or to me by email? Each bug report should just be about the bug in question.

many thanks,
