Sorry for the lack of knowledge submitting bugs, but this is quite simple. The new version of NIS elements (4.0), the resulting nd2 files cannot be opened by Fiji.

Similar problems have been recently reported on the fiji-devel mailing list:

Is this the same error message that you see?  If not, could you please paste the entire text of the error message that you do see into this bug?

If you are seeing a different error message from the one mentioned in the above thread, then it would also be helpful if you could send one of the problematic files (since we only have a couple of files from Elements 4.0).  You can send a file by selecting "Help > Upload Sample Image" in Fiji.

Note that there is now a new build of Bio-Formats that addresses all of the problems reported (so far) with Elements 4.0 files:

If using that build does not solve the problem, then please let us know.
