Description Ivan Gusachenko 2009-04-09 11:04:42 CDT
Occurs both in ImageJ and Fiji.
While pasting, the text is inserted not in the right place, but rather few lines or characters after, generally, just in the middle of another expression. Undo is unable. Makes embedded editor very hardly usable, makes the mighty CtrlC-CtrlV useless. Appears on XP, Vista, on different machines.
One way to overcome is to left many lines empty after the place you want to insert the text. Sometimes it works.

Sorry, I tried here, and it works without flaw. This was with Linux _and_ XP.
Maybe you forgot to put the _cursor_ where you want to paste?

It's strange. For me it's perfectly reproducible on imagej and fiji under XP and Vista, didn't try linux. If, indeed, you try to insert the text in the end of file, there is no problem. But if it's in the middle, all goes wrong.

Okay, sorry to repeat myself: where was the _cursor_ (as opposed to the mouse arrow) when you pasted?

And did you actually paste using Ctrl-V, or using the mouse?

If you do not answer, I have to assume that I was right, and this was a pilot error (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pilot_error).
