Hi - trying to download fiji for Mac 10.x. Currently I have 10.9.5. Have up-to-date java. I uploaded example images through the help icon.

Basically, I can only access fiji by double clicking the install dmg file in downloads, and it tells me each time:
[WARNING] Your ImageJ installation cannot be updated because it is read-only
I can't update fiji, even after installing the "git files". Any clue how I can get around this issue?
Thanks!

Mike, did you follow the instructions here:
http://fiji.sc/Install_Fiji_on_MacOSX
to install Fiji?

On Mac OSX, applications are installed by copying them from the mounted .dmg file (which is just a virtual installation disk) to the Applications folder or any other local folder with read-write access. (You can then eject the mounted disk image and move the .dmg file to the trash.)
For Fiji, it is recommended to copy the application to your Desktop or your user's home folder to avoid problems on multi-user systems.

Hope that helps.
