Description Jan Eglinger 2010-05-17 19:16:51 CDT
When reducing the dimensionality of an XYCZT stack (like "Mitosis (26MB, 5D stack)") to an XYZ, XYC or XYT stack by Image>Hyperstacks>"Reduce Dimensionality...", the resulting stack always gets a z-slider. This is confusing to new users, and the handy play-button in case of an XYT stack is really missing.

(When reducing by only one dimension to e.g. XYZT, everything is fine, because the resulting stack is still a hyperstack...)

Cheers,
Jan

This appears to be a bug in ImageJA. The problem goes away when you use the Help>Update ImageJ command in Fiji to upgrade to ImageJ 1.44a.

I just tested, and the only problem I see is when I reduce to XYZ, but because it shows a _t_ slider.

The behaviour was different at the time of reporting this bug.

I'm fine with the way it currently behaves. Reducing to XYZ showing a t slider is incorrect but can be even regarded as a feature, since the play button is useful to animate in z as well, as long as there is no t dimension.

I suggest this bug can be closed.
