Description Anna Kaufmann 2010-07-21 19:02:25 CDT
Hi!

We wanted repeat the basic imaging course (from 2 weeks ago) and we did the fourir transformation. When I wanted to do the reverse Fourir transformation with changes (black rectangulars for example) the original picture did not change. Normally, it would have shown decreased quality. This problem only appeared on my computer (Mac os X 10.6.4, Fiji 1.44d) and not on the one from my labmate, which has the exact same computer.

I reinstalled Fiji and I have restarted the computer but this did not help. Also, all the other Features of Fiji seem to work fine (I could not encounter any other problems). We did the inverted Fourir transformation in parallel and it worked for my labmate so it seems that there is a very special problem just on this computer. Do I have wrong settings in Fiji/in general?

Thank you for your help!
Best regards
Anna

It could be an issue of 8-bit vs. 32-bit, or that the FFT options (in Process>FFT) were changed to show something else than the FFT window?
Comment 2 Johannes Schindelin 2011-03-23 16:01:05 CDT
Does the problem still persist?
Comment 3 Anna Kaufmann 2011-03-28 11:53:02 CDT
Works only with 255 black, other colors do not work.
