Bug Report Text:

Dear Mr, Mrs,

I would like to update my version of Fiji (that works on ImageJ 1.42l),
but have found no "Update Fiji" selection in the "Help" menu. Is it due
to the fact that I run Fiji under Ubuntu 9.10?

Furthermore, I could not find more recent version of Fiji for Linux than
Fiji 1.42l. Are newer versions of Fiji not available for Linux?

Yes, the "Help>Update Fiji" is incompatible with Ubuntu packaging. But you will find instructions here how to stay up-to-date with Ubuntu packages: http://fiji.sc/wiki/index.php/Downloads
