Hi, 
I may not have understood the instructions about the fiji updater bug, or the bug is only on mac; Fiji has been intermittently very slow with scrolling in the past few weeks, 400 MB files with 4GB RAM should be fine. finally downloaded fiji win64 from fiji.sc and updated, but still got the same messages as with the old fiji: 
- there is an update available for the Fiji updater. install now ? [ok]
- could not overwrite fiji updater
- fiji restart required to finalize previous update [ok]
the last message is the only thing that happens now when I click update. 

the new fiji is back to normal speed, so it's not so urgent, but since I can't update any more, I cannot check whether anything would be fixed.

can I delete this bug too if I authored it? i mixed up the fijis, the new one did not go to the downloads folder but who knows where. thanks, gu
