Description taylorjarac 2014-06-23 12:11:46 CDT
After an automatic update on the morning of 6/21 I no longer could open Fiji. When I tried clicking on the icon on the desktop absolutely nothing would happen. When going through Applications--> Fiji I still had no success.

I cannot reproduce on my system. I tried updating a plain ImageJ2 to a Fiji with the BioVoxxel site enabled, and all works as expected.

If you still have the non-working Fiji installation, you could ZIP it up and post it online somewhere for us to access. Otherwise, without a way to reproduce, I fear we will have to close this bug as WORKSFORME.

(One way to share the ZIP is using ImageJ's Help>Upload Sample Image from your working version of ImageJ.)

From Taylor via email:

Thanks for the feedback, Taylor.

I suspect that this bug was essentially an incarnation of

http://fiji.sc/bugzilla/﷒0﷓

and

http://fiji.sc/bugzilla/﷒1﷓

Fiji may have remained active after update-n-close which prevented you from launching it again. Have you shutdown and restarted your computer before it worked again? That could explain it.

Curtis is working on a solution. Thanks!
