Description jmesquib 2014-12-04 11:55:29 CST
Saving a tiff stack as an avi in fiji produces a playable file with windows media player but is not playable in powerpoint while avi's produced by other programs are playable in fiji.

I have contacted our IT dept, we've got some guys that appear legit, they upgraded all possible codecs in powerpoint that they could find. It really seems to be an issue with just fiji produced avi's.

Best, Joe

Thanks for the report, Joe.

You are using File > Save As > AVI..., right?

Which codec did you use? Did you try with "uncompressed"?

And did you try using Plugins > Bio-Formats > Bio-Formats Exporter?
Comment 2 jmesquib 2014-12-04 14:19:03 CST
Feel bad, didn't try all the codec options, only the jpeg codec works but i'm sure that's due to the specifics of my powerpoint stuff. Thanks for your help. Joe

Thanks for the feedback. Since you have a working solution (and since I couldn't reproduce on OS X, so this may be Windows-specific and/or specific to certain versions of PowerPoint), I'll close the bug.
